PHAST and Cadence Partners invite you to attend a forum and drinks reception to discuss the talent challenges faced in Public Health today.

June 24th – The Royal Institution of Great Britain

This invitation is extended to local authority chief executives, directors of public health and human resources. Come and join other field experts to discuss the challenges that public health leadership faces in attracting and retaining top talent.  The evening will commence with a review of the recent BMA Public Health Survey findings – a leading authoritative report in the public health arena.  We will also be joined by two leaders in their field; Professor John Ashton and Cormac Russell.

Professor John Ashton is the President of the Faculty of Public Health.  John was North West Regional Director of Public Health and Regional Medical Officer from 1993 to 2006 and Director of Public Health and County Medical Officer for Cumbria from 2006 to 2013.

Cormac Russell is Managing Director of Nurture Development and a faculty member of the Asset Based Community Development Institute at Northwestern University, Chicago.  In January 2011 he was appointed to the Expert Reference Group on Community Organising and Communities First, by Nick Hurd MP, Minister for Civil Society.

Following the opportunity to hear from our speakers you will have the chance for networking and chat with other attendees.

Please RSVP to Marion Deacon before Monday 13th June, places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
