The UK is the only country in Western Europe with rising rates of TB. London accounts for 40% of the entire UK TB burden with around 3,500 reported cases and around 2% deaths. PHAST was commissioned by NHS London to create recommendations for standardising clinical practice and ensuring accountability in order to make the commissioning of service providers more effective.
