PHAST FPH Part A Revision Programme
We are now taking applications for places on the highly acclaimed PHAST Part A Revision Programme. The course takes place over a period of ten weekly sessions based at our central London location. Each session is tailored to provide tuition and practical exercises related to the marks an exam question is worth and to assist where candidates are weakest. There will be interactive, practical sessions, which will include critical appraisal, data manipulation, understanding epidemiological principles and techniques and the application of these concepts. There will also be sessions on other various syllabus topics.

PHAST is on the move!
We are pleased to announce that the PHAST management team is moving to new offices and from Monday, 9th August 2010, PHAST will be located at:
PHAST would like to thank Professor Azeem Majeed and his team for the support PHAST has received from Imperial College since our formation in 2007. We will continue to have strong links with Imperial, with Dr Catherine Brogan and Ricky Banarsee continuing in their roles, leading a PHAST research programme. The Imperial College Trust remains PHAST's nominated charity within our business constitution.
This is an exciting time for PHAST and our continued link with Imperial College London will help us continue to offer high quality, cost effective services to government departments, the NHS and Local Authorities. The new offices are in a central location and we hope this will provide easier access for our Associates and clients. Please come and visit us if you are passing.

New PHAST Education, Training and Development Booklet
With the emphasis on a focused approach to outcomes and a shift from target driven care, we offer a wide range of knowledge and skills training to suit many different audiences.
The aim of the PHAST Education, Training and Development Strategy is to build public health capacity and capability within the public, private and voluntary sectors so that a greater number of people have the knowledge and skills to improve the health of the population, promote public health and reduce health inequalities in the UK and internationally.
In light of newly identified government agenda, moving away from target driven care into a focused approach to outcomes, we offer you a wide range of training to suit many different audiences. Concepts will be explained and a set of tools provided to support the delivery of a 'world class service.'
Whilst each training programme identifies their target audience, this is purely a guideline and discussion with Marion Deacon, PHAST's Training and Projects Manager, can help you to decide if a course is suitable for you needs.
The courses' published in this new booklet are for the period between September 2010 and March 2011, updates to all out courses and any new additions will be available on a regular basis through the website. Each full-day workshop provides the participant with 5 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, with each half-day workshop worth 3 points. A certificate will be provided to each participant upon completion of the training course.
